Questions people ask

How do birthday freebies actually work?+

Most Australian brands run a loyalty program — Grill'd Relish, Nando's PERi-Perks, Hoyts Rewards. You join for free, give them your date of birth, and a voucher lands in their app or your inbox during your birthday week. We catalogue every program worth joining and link straight to sign-up.

What freebies can I get on my birthday?+

Plenty — a free burger or meal, a coffee, a doughnut, free cinema popcorn, beauty samples and gift sets, plus retail vouchers and percentage-off discounts you can spend in-store. Australian brands span food, beauty, entertainment and retail, and most arrive as a voucher during your birthday week once you've joined their free loyalty program.

How far in advance do I need to sign up?+

Two to four weeks is the safe window. Some brands (Krispy Kreme, McDonald's) explicitly require four weeks; others will honour same-day sign-ups but you risk missing the email. We recommend a sweep four weeks before — it takes about twenty minutes.

Are these deals genuinely free, or do I have to buy something?+

About two-thirds are no-purchase-required (e.g. a free smoothie, free doughnut, free popcorn). The rest are vouchers or percentage discounts that need a minimum spend. Every listing on the directory clearly tags which is which and reproduces the brand's terms.

Do you sell my data?+

No. We don't operate the loyalty programs — the brands do — and we don't collect your details. The site is a directory; you sign up directly with each brand.

How is the directory kept up to date?+

We do periodic sweeps — sometimes monthly, sometimes a couple of times a year — to add new programs and prune anything a brand has discontinued. If you ever spot something out of date, the report-an-issue link on each listing pings us directly.
